On the day of Jesus’ murder, there were multitudes of people who played a role. Some active. Some passive. And some, like Pilate, who wished they could have just stayed out of it. Here we see one of the most important lessons of human history: nobody can stay out of it. Not when it comes to Jesus. There is always a choice that a person must make. There is no neutral ground.
